Bay Leaf History

Finding a suitable location took a long time, but we had always wanted to operate a vegetarian restaurant. The hunt went on most of the time because the location didn’t meet our budget. We finally discovered this location in the Thakur Complex Kandivali E in 2002. We discussed the technicalities, vaastu, etc., and ultimately decided to proceed with the closure of the deal. We spent nearly seven months remodeling the space.

At last, on December 18, 2003, Bayleaf welcomed visitors. The name Bayleaf, which means Indian spice, was chosen because we felt it would be associated with Indian cuisine and well define the Indian delicacies.

Since then, Bayleaf has progressed and opened eateries such as Reubens and Penthouzz.

This time, we noticed that there was a need for a place to stay for business travellers, vacationers, wedding parties etc., so we decided to build a bohemian themed pleasant, clean, and comfortable location for visitors to stay, which we called BOHO The Boutique Stays by Bayleaf.
